What is physiotherapy?

Physiotheraphy is not entirely new science-it's been around in a sorting or other for hundreds and hundreds of years. Hippocrates described the massage therapy and hydrotherapy in as far back as 460 BC practice. In the United Kingdom, founded in Chartered Society of physiotherapy at the end of the 19th century. Physical rehabilitation is the way to recovering and maintaining maximum mobility and health promotion of the human body.

People take a trip to physiotherapists when they need help. Old-age, medical conditions, the environment, surgery and accidents can take a toll on the body and physiotherapist can try and improve the quality of life for the patient. Therapist will seek to reduce suffering, restore circulation, reduce tensions and strengthen the weakened muscles.

Regions that therapists can process are musculoskeletal disorders and cardiothorasic. Musculoskeletal conditions, a patient may forward is back pain, vrickningar, athritis and sports injuries. Cardiothoracic conditions include asthma.

Physiotherapists do use massage therapy and manipulation in order to improve the patient's body. They will determine the medical view of the patient, physically take a look at them to arrive at a diagnosis and then make a choice on a course of action. Therapist will treat the victim with actual physical contact and would probably also suggest exercises for the client to start doing at home. Moreover, they will be able to help by giving advice on prevention and management situations.

Therapists can be specialists in specific areas such as Pediatrics, geriatrics, or sports injuries. They can also be specialists on specific treatment techniques which connective tissue manipulation, craniosacral therapy, or Mackenzie exercise regime.
